I had a vaginal hysterectomy.  Best decision for me.  Less painful that when they did the tubal.  I was in the hospital overnight.  Easy recovery as well.  Out of work for 6 weeks, but felt like I could have gone back after 4.

my only side effects so far ( 7 mos post op)

ibs issues the first 5 months

swollen belly still! but its getting better.  now only swell some nights.

higher sex drive :)

orgasm easier, ive always been able to orgasm easy but now i can almost have one without being touched!

i seriously love it!  wish i could have done it sooner.  i use to get HORRIBLE cramps, tired, heavy bleeding.  my periods were a nightmare  & i would have to be on the couch for days, doped up on pills.  now i can't even tell when i should have gotten my period.   i have NO pms issues like i did before :)

Those don't sound too bad!!!

I'm TERRIFIED of weight gain. I've never been "big" but have recently gotten to my dream weight only to be told that I now have a "soft uterus" and need to have a hysterectomy. Ugh.
