most jobs require a drivers license now???

My DH has been laid off since end of November. He can't seem to find any jobs leads that don't state "Valid [our state] Drivers License" as a requirement.

He doesn't have one. He never has. He has a medical condition that keeps him being able to get it. He has to go one full year without an "episode" in order to obtain a drivers license. He can go 11 months at a time. That isn't good enough.

What kind of job can he get where he doesn't need one???

The place he got laid off from, they now require new employees to have them. But they know DH (he's been there since he was 17) and they know about his condition. But still, it's manufacturing and he gets laid off every once in a while.

We can't afford to live off if my income and his unemployment. We only have the basics as it is and we still are only scrapping by.

:(((((

I've never had a job that required a valid drivers license.

I think he just needs to prove that he is here legally.  I would think that a state issued id would work just as well.

Jobs want to know that you have reliable transportation.

He should be able to get an id. That should work.

I hope that isn't true. I can't afford a car so why would I need a DL. I have seen that most jobs require it though.
