Should I go back to work?

DD has had the flu, and of course, I got it too. I went to the doctor Saturday, got diagnosed with it, and have been on my meds since then. They gave me 2 days off work, and I'm supposed to go back tomorrow, but honestly? The way I'm feeling now, I don't feel like I could do anything. My head is pounding, I've still got a fever, I'm weak as hell, I'm freezing one minute and burning up within the next minute. I still feel like I'm walking thru wet cement.

I don't want to go back just yet, because the manager is already sick with a sinus infection, and her husband is due for a triple bypass on the 24th, and I don't want to go back and still be sick, and then her or her husband get the flu. I don't want to get anyone else sick either, but I don't want to piss the manager or owner off by not being able to come in. I know its not really my fault that I got sick, and I surely didn't just up and ask to get sick, but I still feel guilty by not being able to work.

What would you do? Would you go back to work, or stay home for another day?

When in doubt, stay home. Give yourself more rest. They should understand.

I would stay home. Explain to your boss that you are under the weather and will come in the day after. We have a no-hour workday in my office so my employees are encouraged to take off as much time as they need, especially when they are sick.

If you still have a fever, you do NOT need to be around people.. Call in.

Heck no. Where i work they are really good about letting people off for being sick. I don't go in if I feel that bad. But unfortunately not all places are like that.
