Today my ds7 and I went grocery shopping, it was brutal.  He acted like an animal.  Baby voice, sucking on his jacket, running all over the place, pulling the buggy out of my hands and taking off with it just  ugh

So I said fine, Im done.  I was about half way done but I checked out with everyone staring at my out of control child.

When we got outside I tried to talk to him and he turned his back to me and started stomping away, off the sidewalk and into a busy parking lot.  So I grabbed his arm.

He started screaming "help she's hurting me! ABUSE!"

wtf????

I've had it!!! So I told him I'm sick of his behaviour, he knows better and it will not be tolerated.  He will be in his room, sitting on his bed, the rest of the evening only being allowed out for dinner.

My aunt called and I told her what happened and she said Im going to far and punishing him unfairly.

What?  Now I dont know what to think.  AHHHHH!!!!!!!

No, going to far would be sending him to bed with no dinner.

I think I would've done what you did. Is he just acting up because he was bored? My kids do that.

Not even in the realm of unfair. If my kid did that he'd be lucky to only be grounded to his room for the rest of the night.
