My sister dyes her 9 year old's hair!

She thinks her daughter looks cuter as a brunette (her daughter is a natural red head). I think that's terrible because she should be teaching her to love herself just the way she is! Would you dye your kid's hair?

Well I don't know if she asked to have her hair dyed or not, but my sister straight up told her she looks cuter with brown hair.

that is ridiculous.  my children will not dye their hair until they are at least 16 - all those chemicals, no thank you - anyway, my dd has gorgeous dirty blonde hair with natural blonde highlights.

Only if they wanted to. But no I would not do it just because I wanted them to be cuter....thats so shallow.

My mom was helping me dye my hair around 10 or so...

Hell I wanted my hair dyed at 9...I had to wait till I was 13 to get my first hair dye.

I see no problem with it. My kids have dyed their hair. Both my boys have their ears pierced, my daughter has had her hair perm before. If they want to ok, I fail to see the big deal!

My mom used to dye my hair when I was younger

I competed in pageants BIG time.

My hair was naturally a light/ auburn brownish, my mom used to dye it dark brown.

Did nothing to my self confidence. Lol
