disagree.  even though i am christian, i generally tned to find atheists to be of a better moral character and are far more pleasant to be around. being religious doesn't make you a good person.

No that is just silly. Morals have nothing to do with religion.

Lol, I love how you worded that.

I would consider those people what I like to call wrong. But to each their own.

Quoting Anonymous:

Some people think you do.

BIG FAT DISAGREE! Nobody needs religion to know right from wrong.

Not necessarily, but there is a certain amount of morality and behavior that follows a devout follower of a religion.  For instance when you know your grandmother is watching, most people curb their behavior....I think it's the same for God!

like those terrorists? Or KKK members? Ann Coulter? Patt Robertson? It has nothing to do with being a devout follower of religion, it's all about who you are as a person.

In fact, I would go so far as to say that true morality should be measured as what you do or believe because YOU think it is right, not because you fear some sort of punishment. I, personally, have never been one to do or say things because I fear repercussions.

Quoting Mrs.DebB:

I completely disagree! Religion does not equate morality.

A person can claim to be a devout member of a religion without actually being a devout member.  I was referring to actual devout members of a religion that follow their religion's teachings and behave accordingly.

I don't need an invisible sky-daddy to tell me what's right and wrong.
