SST increase is now making our monthly take home $1,500 short!!

I'm a SAHM and I think I'm gonna have to go get a job just so DH won't notice so much. Ugh, He works so hard, I have to help...

Anyone else like me who wasn't concerned, and is now like WTF??

Ours was about $200 short. Unfortunately dh has had to quit his job because of that.

Why did he have to quit?

My DH's is short $160 a month and my DH makes $50,000 a year so being $1,500 short a month your DH must make $300,000- $500,000 a year.

It was just too much. Between cs, his work expenses and travel expenses (he doesn't get reimbursement for), and our living expenses it just put us over the edge.

Not that much, he makes $190,000 but our medical is paid for by the company. I think that counts as income as well, but not sure how much it actually is.

I was expecting it, I tried planning ahead, but it's still difficult. He is less $667 a month. It's just been a matter of rearranging our lifestyle a bit to suit the smaller income. My work, only being part time, I haven't noticed a significant drop.
