Can someone figure this out for me...done this problem 100 times and keep getting one answer but the book is saying another....please show your work ..pllleeeeaassseee...thathankless.  S

4-12x = -6

-12x = -10

x = 0.8333333

What is the book's answer?  So you plug the answer in as x and it doesn't work?  Then obviously the answer in the book is a typo.

You beat me to it, but you used decimals in your final answer so I'll count that as a win.
