dessert every night? how about a snack before bed.

I feel like the only parent who doesn't do that.

Dessert every night?  No, not every single night.

They don't eat before they go to bed.  We eat dinner together and the kitchen is closed after the dishes are washed and last minute nibbles are finished.  There generally is no eating in our home after 8pm because food needs to be digested long before they go to sleep for the night.  Eating and then sleeping make fat individuals.

dessert no. maybe once a week or every other week. if they have eaten all their dinners they can have whatever they want that is healthy after that. we eat at 5pm so im not shocked they are hungry by 730 before bed

No. I don't usually have room for dessert after dinner. And I only so snacks before bed if they ask and have eaten their full dinner.

They never get junk food.

But they do get a healthy bedtime snack.

Nope. Dessert is for special occasions. Bed time is close enough to dinner that they don't need a snack
