Saw this on Facebook. There's a debate in the comments some say its abuse of power other say its a good deed. Thoughts?

The way I see it, she may not have been able to make it across in time before the light changed. I say good deed! I mean, do you want someone in a hurry to run her down?

i guess if she had trouble crossing cop did nothing and someone hit het then he would be criticized to right? He did a duty which is to protect imo.

did this guy evan see the whole thing what if she was in danger or had fallen before he saw you know and the police had to jump out and assist her. I know he was saying thank you but the other people omgosh how horribe.

An elderly woman from Canada was killed in a hit and run accident earlier this week by a local mall. That being said, even if the woman was walking at a snails pace, the cop could not have stopped traffic for more than 5 minutes, which probably wasn't that much of an inconvience.
Sorry if this has been posted before. I usually read the first page and if I have a pertinent thing to say, I'll comment and then read the rest.
