^^^ the last guy (I'm not going to add all the comments) is ridiculous. People tell him to call CPS not the police and he just call at them a douche bag.

If he prevented a pedestrian from getting hit, he was doing his job.  I can't even wrap my head around someone calling that an abuse of power.

If he was in the middle of the road, then he was blocking traffic so that no one would run over the grandma.  If he was just pulled over and assisted her across the street, then cars may not have stopped.  I am not saying that this what happened, but even if he was in the middle of the road, I still don't think it was an abuse of power.

Quoting darcibeisheim:

in the middle of the road, it was an abuse of his power, no matter how good of a deed.. he could have easily pulled off the roadway and assisted her across the street safely.

Quoting Retrokitty:

I think it was in the middle of the road but I don't know.

Quoting darcibeisheim:

it depends... was his car off the side of the road? if it was.. he was fine..

It was fine. Police stop traffic twice a day for just one person to cross the street - children going to and from school.

I agree

Quoting snowpeasmom:

traffic should have stopped for the old lady even if the cop wasnt there...him being there just added to her security.

Quoting Retrokitty:

People said he stopped traffic making others late.

Quoting snowpeasmom:

i think its a good deed...how did he abuse his power

It's the job of the police to protect the people and make sure they stay safe. He was using his power to do his job, not abusing his power.

The irony that the comment was made by someone under the name Bruce Wayne.

Quoting Retrokitty:

Bruce Wayne and 6 others question it apparently
