My grampa was 79 years young and passed away Tuesday. He has been excited the past 23 weeks to know I'm having his 6th great granddaughter. I had my heart set on Iris for a first name...but grampas middle name was Lee Roy, so I'm now wanting to use Lee as the middle name.. but Iris Lee just doesn't sound right...

Why would you use your grandfather's name for your daughter? Stick to Iris, but give her a feminine middle name...like your mom's, DH's mom, etc.
Our daughters are Kimberly Alexandria, and Ruby Rose. My daughters are my precious gems (Kimberly means diamond).

Iris Liora (or Lee-Ora) it means "my light" in Hebrew. It might not be exactly the same but it's close. We used the first letter of my grandmas name for my son because there was no male equivalent that we liked.
