My 5 wk old ds has been admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with pyloric stenosis. We are meeting with the peds surgeon in a few hrs to determine if he needs surgery. Anyone have any expierence with this?

Not this specific diagnosis, but my son has had 2 operations on his digestive tract. Good luck. The out come of surgery for pyloric stenosis is reportedly very good.

Thanks ladies! My poor babe got so sick from it overnight it seems like. He hasn't held anything down in 24 hrs :(. It's heartbreaking to see him so sick.

My younger brother had this as a baby. I remember my mom was a crazy mess for the surgery but he ended up fine. That was 20 years ago and you can't see the scar anymore.
I bet they've even improved the procedure since then.
