Do your parents and/or inlaws have a key to your house?

My inlaws have a key to our house. We are moving in a few months to our own house.....I don't want them having a key.
They have always had a key ever since I moved in with my husband. This was his house long before I moved in. So...not much I could do about it. I feel uncomfortable that they can just come and go as they please.....sometimes they will bring stuff over to the house and if we aren't home they just let themselves in and think nothing of it. I just don't like it.
Would it be awful if we don't give them a key to our new house? I REALLY don't want them to. My husband doesn't care either way.
You now live there and this isa new place
One thing if they had the key before you came about, but now you are living with heir son and you will be in a different place.
I see no need for it
You need your privacy. Maybe he didnt care, but you do. I would never hand someone my keys to come and go as they please.
My mom has a key to my house, but she's never let herself without asking. I gave her one because I have a bad habit of locking myself out lol!
I rent from nicks grandparents now (basically in laws). They don't have keys but they have a garage door opener. They're very respectful about it though so it's never an issue. I actually have a key to their house too :)
