Mom Confessions Mom Confessions

I am LIVID.

...for pretty much no reason at all, EXCEPT for the fact that I absolutely loathe being lied to.

So, my S/O got a friend request from a girl the other day; I don't really care, it's a social networking website, it happens and I honestly didn't think anything of it.
UNTIL he reacted the way he did. He went out of his way to tell me that it was a friend of his sister's blah, blah, blah. I wasn't even near the computer so I wouldn't have even known, but when he began acting suspicious, I grew evermore curious.

Well, it just so happens he left his stuff logged in, so I did what he does when I do the same; I read the messages.
APPARENTLY, it's an ex-girlfriend, which I really don't care about, I'm just pissed about the fact that he felt he needed to go out of his way to lie to me.

Am I over-reacting?
My hormones probably don't help, but I've noticed a bit of strange behavior lately.
And by that I mean, a bit of distance, and when I begin to notice, he tries to get all lovey.

It's kind of been pissing me off, honestly.
I just don't know what to do or how to feel at the moment.

I think lying to be sneaking is pretty disrespectful.

But at the same time I have seen cases or incidents people lie to someone to avoid confrontation because the person they lie to is always irrational

He's being sneaky. I wouldn't put up with it. No way in hell.

Makes sense. I'm going to stay up and ask him about it. He knows how I feel about lying.

 Oh I know, trust me.
He will get an earful of conversation when he gets up.

1 mom liked this

I would casually confront him. Just tell him he left his stuff signed in and you glanced at his messages and found out it's his ex. Then ask him why he felt the need to lie to you.
