Has anyone ever been stalked?

Posted by   + Show Post
Please bare with me, I will do my best with explaining this. 6 months a man who would be twice my age came up to me saying he's been watching me for so long and wanted to introduce himself, bare in mind this was at the grocery shop. Ok seemed harmless. Then he started popping up all the time, I would avoid eye contact and keep walking but he would always come back an tap me on the shoulder. Then it proceed to him popping out of no where and recognizing me from behind and rubbing me on the back and complimenting what I was wearing. So I started going on different days and times, hadn't seen him for a while then last week he pops up and tells me he wrote me a Christmas card and hung around everyday to give it to me. I said I'm married an this needs to stop. So as I'm leaving the shops he pokes me in my ribs demanding to know what's wrong with me and gave me a business bars claiming to be a councellor. I went home and called the police and their advice was be blunt an tell him to back off if he approaches you again. I also reported him with the business card and it turns out its fake, he's made them himself. So come Wednesday I'm grocery shopping with the kids, he comes over with the card, I tell him very blunt to leave me alone, I'm married and his behavior is not appropriate an I want to be left alone, he swears calls me names and tosses the card at me. The card said how he looks forward to seeing me, he waits for me, how beautiful my children are and asking me out for coffee. I reported this to the police. I get a call the next day from a friend who works at the store telling me he was there at 9 asking if she had seen me and making up lies for why he was looking for me, he went back at lunch time as well. The police tell me until I can ring them and identify him they can't do much. If anyone has been in a situation like this, how did you get it to stop?

Yes. I was in school for criminal justice and asked one of my teachers what I should do, she said document everything. When he would wait at work, say he say saw me driving on a busy street, leave notes on my car, drive past my school, he knew my schedule for school, and he would wait in his truck for me to go to work.

Do you have any wasp spray? It apparently works better than pepper spray and will spray 20 feet, so you can maintain a larger distance.

When I was in the 6th grade a 16yo guy (a friends brother) stalked me... He would sneak into our house when no one was home, steal my panties, pics, and eat our food..

The only reason he got caught was because a cop seen him walking on a main road during school hours & stopped him. He had one of my dads guns on him. He told the cop a huge story about my dad being a drug dealer & he let us date & all this crazy shit..

He had to go to bootcamp or something. When he got out, he came to my house when I was home alone & just said hi & that he was out. I was scared shitless. Thankfully he easily left when another friend came walking up my driveway..

I never seen him again.

Luckily I was quitting that job and about to graduate when was getting to that point. Document everything. Tell him you have contacted law enforcement about his harassment. Unfortunately law enforcement can't do much until he actually does something harmful.

Quoting Anonymous:

It was very scary. The look he had in his eyes when he told me that still makes the hair on my neck stand up, and that was 7 years ago. I hope your creeper leaves you alone. Do you carry a weapon of any kind?

Quoting lovelove211:

I'm glad it ended. That's scary

Quoting Anonymous:

I know he saw my friend at least once after the incident, so I'm assuming he knew I talked to someone about it and got intimidated. I don't really know.

Quoting lovelove211:

Oh my god. I'm glad you had someone with you to help you. How did it stop?

Quoting Anonymous:

That's creepy. The only thing that's happened to me like that was when I was a cashier. I was ...18, I think, and this man would come into the store I worked at. He would walk through the floral department and watch me through the bunches of flowers. It creeped me out, but I tried to dismiss it. One night he told me he was going to put me in the trunk of his car if I wasn't careful. My friend (a deputy) would come to my work and escort me to my car and come by randomly just to check in after the man told me that.
