my son is turning 2 and I don't know what to get him for his birthday!?

I have about $400 to spend on gifts and party.
Throw any ideas at me please!?
He loves cars and trucks and legos, but he already has thousands of them!
Thanks!

Let me clarify, my son has a savings account already.  I have been saving this money for his birthday, so that's what I'm going to spend it on :)  And, my MIL LOVES to out do me on gifts (and I'll admit they are awesome, like she bought him an electric car for christmas, and we bought him a tricycle).  I just want to get him something awesome that he will use.

PS. I have boxes around my house he plays with ;)

Edit: He has an iPad (shares with his dad), has an outside play ground set, he has an electric car he rides on and presses the pedal and it drives, and he has a Tikes basketball goal...

At that age? A big empty box...it seems like what kids love.

My kids loved bath soaps like the crayons one can draw on the walls in the bath, the colored bath paints that they could paint themselves with and other bath toys.  You don't have to spend a lot.  I also got my niece a big ball that hooked up to a garden hose and became a sprinkler.  For summer of course.

Keep the party simple, at that age.  A few kids...a playground or an indoor kid's gym to play in, cake, and they are happy.

Put back about $350 of  it into a savings account or education plan.

Take the other $50 and do the party. He probably already has enough toys, so just get him a small gift. Or, buy him a big boy bed if he doesn't already have one with the $400 (or less).
