My sister (not the one who is pretending to be blind) is due in 4 days.
She went to L&D because she thought she was leakibg fluid. Turns out she is but they are sending her home.
Shouldn't they keep her there to observe her and my nephew??
Has this happened to anyone else??

You have a sister pretending to be blind?

And yes that has happened to my friend except she was leaking fluid for awhile. She had a small hole and leaked for the last couple of months of her pregnancy. By the time she delivered she had lost most of her fluid resulting in a dry birth. I heard that is a very painful way to give birth.

If they tested the fluid and it's not amniotic fluid, that's fine.

That happened to me. They monitored me for an hour and then sent me home because everything was ok, with the exception of leaking fluid. I ended up havin my dd that day. It just means that she's probably super close to having the baby and if there's neither of them are under stress, there's no need for her to stay.. Unless she's having contractions at a regular interval... I even had blood when I wiped after peeing and was still sent home.. It was like 2-3 hours after I had been there that dd came.

Some pregnant women leak fluid. It depends on what the fluid is.

Did they tell her why they sent her home? Maybe they are wanting her to go into labor on her own. Did they tell her to call her dr?
