Yup, I took the option of "choice" away from my daughter today, and we welcomed her into the Church. :-)  If she chooses later on in her life to follow a different path, that is fine with me.  But for now, I will be doing my best to raise her in the Catholic faith.

Maggie got baptized in the same gown that my older sister and I wore, along with 2 of my sister's 3 girls.

I'll still love her and whoever her partner is.  Just like I love my cousin and her partner.  Amazingly enough, not all Catholics are close minded.  :-)

**Admit it; it's more interesting then another "how I parent" siggy**

I think it is great for a parent to do what they feel is best for their children. Congrats on the special day and so sweet to use the family heirloom.

Do you understand what being baptized means?

Not bashing. I was baptized as a baby into Catholic church but the Bible does not agree with infant baptism a dedication it's different though.
