Mom Confessions Mom Confessions
I'm looking to replace my vacuum. I've got 3 kids and a dog whom I vacuum up after daily. I'm looking at Dyson's which are 5 to 6 hundred. I'm appalled that I'm considering spending so much on one, but feel like it's a necessity. Anyone have recommendations?

Dysons are worth it. Its the last vac you will have to buy.

My neice has the Dyson for aniimals (DC24). She has 3 kids, hairy dog and just loves it. She says she wouldnt buy any other brand.

I have a Dyson Animal. It was worth ever penny I paid for it.

I have owned cheap vacuums and expensive ones. They all suck dirt off the floor. If my Hoover broke tomorrow I'd go buy a $99 one at Kohls and call it a day.

I have read that the dyson is extremely good, however, a certain part tends to burn out/melt and, even though dyson will replace it, it is a bit of a hassle and wait to get.

I love my wood floors :)
I suggest a shop vac with the proper attachments.

I have a bissell that we got at a yard sale for. 25 cents. Replaced the belt and bag and it's lasted us 18 months so far. Not bad for a quarter.

We have a Bissell pet care one now. It was great at first, but really started showing its wear after about a year. I need something that really works well, and doesn't wear out quickly. Dyson reviews look good, but it's a lot of money! If you've got a different brand you love, what model is it?

Kirby. It can turn into a carpet cleaner and you can spray paint with it. I love my Kirby.
