World's Oldest Condom! Oh, hell yes!

The world’s oldest condom, dating back to 1640, has gone on display at a museum in Austria. The reusable condom dates back to 1640 and is completely intact, as is its orginal users’ manual, written in Latin. The manual suggests that users immerse the condom in warm milk prior to its use to avoid diseases. The antique, found in Lund in Sweden, is made of pig intestine

A large variety of sausage
is produced world-wide
using intestines of pigs,
sheep, goats, cattle and
sometimes horses.

nope, lol..they can be washed and reused...freaked me out when i learned that, but it was one of the first in a long line of stuff that freaked me out working in the pharmacy

Quoting XJetX:

I didn't think they were reusable, just for those with latex allergy

Quoting shivasgirl:

did you guys know there are still resuable condoms made? The Natural Lamb brand is reusable, they are made from lamb intestines

I didn't think so either.  Although I have heard that the way to reuse any condom was of course, to "turn it inside out and shake the fuck out of it".  Bar-ump-bump!

Oh, I get ya.  lol.

Maybe they just took it to the creek and banged it on a rock...

Quoting Eliots_momma:

I thought the milk was like some kind of disease prevention. I'm talking about cleaning it after one shot his load :(

1 mom liked this

"It's effective! I used it with your sister 2 months ago, she's not preg....oh, wait." LOL

Quoting ErikaRobin:

*giggle*

You're judging it just because it's been in a few of 'em.

But those were all chicks (I presume) from the 1600's!  They meant nothing to it!  ;)

Quoting IncognitoOne:

It's a hooch!

Quoting IncognitoOne:

Gross. Milky, disease ridden, pig intestine that's been around the block.

*pfft*  Prude.
