I'm having laparoscopic surgery in a few days and I'm terrified. Has anyone had a cyst removed off of ovary laparoscopically and it went ok??

Twice. Once the cyst burst. I get endometrioma's (large blood filled ovarian cysts due to endometriosis). The first time was hell because I was in so much pain prior to but afterwards recovery wasn't too bad.

Last April I had lap surgery to remove a 10 cm cyst. It was just day surgery. Again sore for a while. You may experience shoulder pain from the co2. That I was not expecting and it was really painful for a few days. The incisions themselves are relatively painfree.

 Yep!

Three months ago and I was up and moving that afternoon. Then went to my mom's for dinner that evening, which is a two hour drive.

You'll be fine!

I know people get nervous about "going under" but think of it as a "really good, deep nap that is long over due!" Because that is how it will feel once you wake up!
