I was going to replace these dishes ( they were given to dh by his mom ( who has passed away) when he moved out on his own ). We have been together 10 years, so these are older than that. Barkeepers friend has taken away all the scratches! I saw it on pinterest and decided to try it. They were all as bad or worse than the top plate. The bottom is obviously after. I used the powder. If only try it on white, but it didn't damage any of the design.

Just wanted to share. I love a good tip. Cm, even with all the drama, can be an excellent resource :-)

I was dreading asking dh if I could replace them. If they hadn't been from his mom I wouldn't have thought twice about it.

I know!  That can be a tricky scenario.  My MIL paints, and after we got married and moved in together I noticed my husband had about 100 winter landscapes in different rooms-just begging to be hung :). So not my style.  What to do, what to do....I hid them.  Hee hee
