My husband thinks....

That our family of three should be able to get by on a $100 a month grocery budget. I told him sure...if he only wants to eat ramen and spaghetti.

Is he right? Do some of you feed your family on $100 a month?

(Please note that almost all of our meals are prepared at home. We order pizza once a month and go to a restaurant once a month.)

I would feed him on $100 for one month, and see how he likes it!

I guess technically it's possible, if you're a really good couponer. It would be tough though!!

i don't think we could eat for $100 a week lol i buy a lot of fresh fruit and veggies and that crap adds us fast!! never mind all the meat and snacks and lunches.

if he honestly believes that, let him try to do it himself. only one way for him to really get it lol

I have a family of 6.  We spend about 150.00 weekly for groceries.

If he can do it for 25.00 a week for you all- please have him share the secret ith me!  I'd love to save 100.00 a week.

Yes. Go healthy. It's cheaper than processed crap.

Why not have him take 100 and go get groceries for the month. See if he can do it.

That seems pretty skimpy to me. I supplement our grocery budget with homegrown veggies and fruits and still it costs me more than $100. You could probably do it, but I don't think it would be a very nutritious diet. You'd be hard pressed to provide fresh fruit/veg and dairy on that amount, even if you shopped at deep discount grocers like Aldi.
