Let me explain before you "ask me anything".



My dh has a speech impediment, and sometimes he has a hard time comprehending things. He, IMO, is very smart. But, he can't focus on things for long w/I getting frustrated, can't speak some words, and has a hard time with grammar and such.

Why? Well, his mother beat him pretty bad from birth till he was 2, and then when he was 3, his mother wasn't watching him and he fell in the pool. He was pronounced dead at the scene but was air vac'd to the hospital and on the way was revived but he had a lack of O2 for so long it killed brain cells.

He was full of himself. Lol. He thought he was the shit. It wasn't until after I got to know him that I realized it was all fake. He does it to hide how sweet he is. :) he doesn't like people thinking he's weak.

He never did. It was at our 1 year anniversary party that my FIL told me.

No. I think people just think he's a little uneducated or "dumb". Even bough he is very much loved by all (family, friends, coworkers).
