Has anyone noticed that the new theme for all the movies coming out is witches?

Why can't we have lots of movies with lots of naked guys? Oh wait that's just porn.

I quit watching after season one. And the only reason I made it through season one is that DH bought it for me. I watches it then gave it away.

Quoting BraydensMama163:

Ugh I know. Alcide was my hero until I read the books. He's an ass. The books made me love Eric more. I just wish they would bring in the demons and Quinn and her real grandfather is so much cooler than the shows

Quoting Ashgambit:

Not to mention every time she smiles she looks like she's leering at you. Not what I'd expect from someone who managed to make a vampire fall in love with her.

Also...the show doesn't even follow the books anyway. I hate it when they say "based on the book" when all they did was take the characters and run with it.

Quoting BraydensMama163:

Omg so I'm not the only one lol

I agree something about her bothers me. Possible the teeth and horribly fake southern accent. We do not talk like that.

Quoting Ashgambit:

Like the books, hate the show. I suspect it's because I can't watch Anna Paquin. Something about her bothers me.

Quoting BraydensMama163:

I told you that you would like true blood...or .... was it the walking dead?

Either way I'm addicted to both. The books are better though (Sookie stackhouse novels)

Quoting Sassy762:

Hell yes, lol

I prefer the Vampires though, lol I just found and watched 5 seasons of True Blood

Now on to Vampire Diaries

I think the first Vampire show was Dark Shadows....it started in 1966, lol

That is what a succubus theme would allow!

The things in blade 2 were pretty close and daybreakers....

Quoting Anonymous:

Nooo. Zombies prevail!!! Not in to the witches movies. I guess because it seems like when I was a preteen and young teen that was "the thing" with all those Charmed, Sabrina type shows etc.

DH says now we need.....VAMPIRE ZOMBIES! Lol

it was pretty good. I would read it again. It was sort of mysterious at first and a little intense.

Quoting Anonymous:

Is the books better then twilight I got bored with them. I looked on my kindle and it has bad reviews. I would like to read it before the movie comes out.

Quoting Anonymous:

lol..sorry. Beautiful creatures is a new witch move coming out

Quoting Anonymous:

what movie? what book? I'm lost

Quoting Anonymous:

it's based on a book, and the book was pretty good.

Quoting TrouserMouse:

It looks more promising than Hansel and Gretel.

Not angry. Just pointing out that witches is not a "new" theme...

And we haven't "gone through" zombies if it's coming up.

Why so defensive?

Quoting TrouserMouse:

I missed in my post where I said there has never been a witch movie ever made before and a zombie movie would never be made again. Why so angry?

Quoting sheymann:

What was Harry Potter? You know the biggest franchise for the past 12 year revolving around witches and wizards?

and the new zombie movie coming out?

It is the new theme right now. You have never noticed the film/TV industry goes through cycles, jumps on things, and runs with them? I saw Wizard of Oz too.

They do, but Zombies and vampires are not over. There are still zombie and vampire movies and shows coming out. It's what, two movies coming out? One zombie movie. Catching Fire is coming out in November. It's one of the most anticipated movies of the year. It has no zombies, vampires, or witches.

There's not really "big" or "major" treds right now.
