Are these "acceptable" things to spend the money on?

This is mostly for fun, since I honestly don't really care what other people think of what I spend money on. But in light of all the "I can't believe you get so much in tax credits and blow it!" posts, I thought I'd post what mine is going towards...
We are getting 8,500. A yet-unspecified amount will go toward DS' dental surgery this summer (whatever insurance doesn't cover). Me and DH are buying new glasses, and DH will get (badly needed) new shocks and brakes in his truck.
The rest will be put into savings to supplement DH's income while he cuts back hours to finish school.
So, do I pass the test? ; )

I wanted to use some of ours for dental work. Dh said no. It's HIS money...maybe I should use it for a lawyer instead.

I am one of those terrible and irresponsible folks. I plan on using ours to take our family on vacation. Pretty much where it goes every year. We pay into retirement, bills each month, but it leaves little to save up for vacation. We like to go on a big one every couple of years. Last time we went to Yellowstone and Mt Rushmore.

We will get around 8700.
We are paying insurance for the year
Paying of debt
Getting a new mattress
Getting a new couch
Some dental work for me and my oldest

You need teeth, sight, and a ride...so hell yeah! Lol! We are getting a similar amt. We will buy a "new" vehicle, pay off some debt, put some in savings and I want to open a mutual fund acct for both kids

We are doing fun stuff and responsible stuff. 

Paying off some debt, and vacation. Life is lame if all you do is work to pay bills. Gotta enjoy the good stuff too.
