Being able to pay the bills and having money left over for savings.

it may depend on where you actually live, but i consider middle class to be an income of $50,000 - $100,000

I think a lot depends on your area. Where I live I'd say $80,000 to $250,000.

To me middle class is having money to pay your bills and having money left over.  Being able to go get some clothes or to dinner if you want to.

We make $200,000 a year, can pay all of our bills, go on vacation, save for retirement, etc.  I consider us middle class.

Not having to scrape every penny for food or bills. Or being able to pay a bill without worrying about next month.

 we are middle class

we have savings, college savings, no PA, we have nice cars, insurance, we have spending money, our kids are in sports and dance, and we can afford to take vacations ( Not to Maui each year, but still decent ones...lol)

We donate and help where we can. That is our middle class rut...lol

Probably around 45K and up. You have a house, pay your bills, small debt if any, you have insurance, retirement and savings. You could have this with less too though.....
