IRS sent us an email saying our return has been accepted early, but it still says they won't start processing them till the 30th? TIA

Just what it says. They've accepted your return, but wont start processing and issuing refunds until the 30th.

I don't understand why they would accept it early, but not process it early.

the irs is accepting returns but isn't proccessing any until the 30th, i dont know what there is to not understand.

i don't know, that's just what they are doing this year. im sure if you went on the irs website it might have something explaining why. but it's not just you, it's everyone.
