Why are people in general so feeling rude? I don't know if my mom did me a favor or disfavor by teaching me manners and ethics. Hardly anyone says "thank you" or "you're welcome" or even "please". I'm not talking about CM, I'm talking about real life. I just don't understand the lack of common politeness.

I see politeness all the time. Maybe it's just the people you know?

It's just the general public. Like when people hold the door open, and no one days thank you. Or walking up to a random person and saying," Say, where is such and such". I'm like my name is NOT "say".

well, I met a lady recently who moved to Georgia from Virginia, and she said everyone down south is SO much nicer. crime is much less too. People here have southern hospitality for the most part. probly depends on where you live.

Nature vs Nurture. Manners were important to my mom so she taught them to me, and I have taught them to my DD and will do so with DS. Lack of manners just makes people sound unpleasant and awful.
