We live in Texas....so I really have no clue about this. I've never even gone ice skating myself!
But is it a good idea to take a3 year old ice skating?
I called the rink and they DO have skates in his size. But will he really have fun?

I used to take my niece at age 2. She loved it.

I have no idea. I live in Texas also but I have been ice skating a couple of times before. I do not remember it well enough to know if a small child would like it though.

I mentioned it to SO and my son overheard it. So now it's all he is talking about! Lmao. So I guess I HAVE to take him now. We will see how it goes!

He'll have a blast. I've been taking my son since he was 2 1/2. So long as they have skates that fit them, then they are good to go. Just keep a firm grip on his hand until he gets the hang of it.

You could try roller skating. =) We just went for the first time and DD (2) and DS (4) loved it! I think that might be easier and more fun at that age.
