What was your utility bill this month?

We just moved into a new house. Our utilities are bundled into one bill by the city and we just hot our first bill. $280!!!! I've never had a bill this high!

It's an old house (built in 1896) and it has gas furnace. It'a also two stories. I think it's outrageous though...we never leave lights on, we keep the thermostat on 65 and for the first two weeks we didn't even have a fridge or washer/dryer.

What utilities are bundled?  Is that electric, gas, and water?

If it's your very first bill, there's probably a connection fee.

We don't pay water. Landlord pays that for us.

Electric is usually around $50, gas has been around $60-75.

My electric bill was $319. Is that what you mean by utility bill?

For electric, gas and water, that seems about right for a house that size...
