What was your utility bill this month?

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
We just moved into a new house. Our utilities are bundled into one bill by the city and we just hot our first bill. $280!!!! I've never had a bill this high!

It's an old house (built in 1896) and it has gas furnace. It'a also two stories. I think it's outrageous though...we never leave lights on, we keep the thermostat on 65 and for the first two weeks we didn't even have a fridge or washer/dryer.

Water is $15 for us. We have septic so we dont pay sewer.

Last months elec bill was $130. I am in FL though so we almost never need the heat.

Wow! Our gas doubled so it was $85. Electric was about $130. We keep our house at 60 now it was @ 65. We are pretty good about electric but could be s little better. Hopefully cutting our heat down will help. You can always put more layers on.
