What was your utility bill this month?

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
We just moved into a new house. Our utilities are bundled into one bill by the city and we just hot our first bill. $280!!!! I've never had a bill this high!

It's an old house (built in 1896) and it has gas furnace. It'a also two stories. I think it's outrageous though...we never leave lights on, we keep the thermostat on 65 and for the first two weeks we didn't even have a fridge or washer/dryer.

Does it have a well?  Sometimes water pumps have a problem in the foot valve and they don't shut off properly.

388 just for electric and gas. This month will be higher because we have had to run the heat most of the month.

Ours was $340. That's everything bundled. We live in approx 750 sq ft house with big windows in every room covered in plastic on the inside and hidden by the curtains. To be fair though our house has no insulation and we looked underneath the house and there isn't any there either 0.o I seriously doubt there's any in the attic either. The landlord and his cro-magnun looking wife have a special place in hell reserved for themselves. Thank goodness we're moving soon. The only reason we stayed so long is b/c the location.

mine this month is only $93 but that is because we are not using our AC or heat during the summer it was around $250.

Why don't you have a fridge, where do you put your food?
