Do you "need" the tax return?

 Is it something that you need? Do you need to move, need a new car, etc? Would you be devestated if something were to happen. Maybe you actually owed too much money. Maybe for some reason yours didn't come and you get the run round as to why it's not there yet(and you are told it could be months).

No it isn't a need. We pay our bills on time, food is on the table, my children are clothed.

We've been using it to pay off old debts in large junks, and this year we will finally, finally be debt free (besides mortgage) We will then start using our return to increase our savings and retirement. We take a thousand and buy the fun things we want, but the rest is used for more adult responsible things.

Yes we need it. 5k will be paying off our suv so we can get a 2nd car. I'm very excited for that.

We don't "need" it. Sure, it will help. And we are planning to use it to get a new roof and/or siding. But it wont be the end of the world if we don't

Yes I do need the money.  We need it to pay for lawyer fees.  I also need it to pay for dental work.

This year I really need it.  My sons need new shoes and currently I can't even afford that.  I work in the family business and right now things are at a dead stop.  It's been three weeks since I've had a paycheck and will likely be another four or five before I see one.  I also have to have about $500 worth of dental work done.  Outside of that, some groceries and a few small household appliances, the rest will put into savings.

Nope. S/O and I have been managing to squeeze by with what we bring in. But, it will help.......greatly.
