I keep thinking ya know I should probably have some kind of will I have a considerable amount of money, I'd want it to go to my children.
Do I make it myself and go have it notarized or do I have to go somewhere to get it done?

You can do it yourself or pay to have it done. If you do it yourself you need to know what the requirements are for your state. Usually it must be typed and witnessed. No need to get notorized. If you have a considerable amount of money, you might want to set up a trust. An estate planning attorney would be helpful for that.
