Parenting fails 10 things that irk me.....Edit in Red

As to my reply to another post regarding people smoking in a car while a child is in the car here are 10 more things that irk me that parents do:
1) Smoking pot while pregnant or when you have children is just irresponsible and stupid...pregnant, for obvious reasons and as a parent it does cloud your judgement so no you are not all there if having to make quick decisions, same with drinking.
2) Lack of discipline, allowing the child to "express themselves" bullshit TEACH that child what is right and wrong.
3) Allowing your child to run ahead of you in a parking lot, really? Need I say more on this one.
4)Thinking the toy department at a store is a playground for your child, refer back to #2.
5) Not dressing your child appropriately in cold weather, if YOU need a coat or sweater and socks and shoes I guarantee you your child does too! If you are a heavy person and dont need a coat or sweater realize you have a a lot more padding than your LO.
6) If you will not discipline your child to act appropriately in a restaurant get a babysitter if you want to eat out, I'm not talking about LO's that have little fits but 4 yrs and up that should know better!
7) Allowing your child to swear (I'm not talking about a slip up) refer back to #2.
8) Parents that use their children to get back or hold over an ex or Grandparent, you are only hurting your child in the long run, get over yourself stop acting like a spoiled brat, the child is not an object!
9) Do NOT send your child to school if they are sick or have lice!
10) Because you have a child/children does not make you an expert on other people's children, every child is different, what worked for you does not mean it will work for others. On that note stop being so defensive if someone gives you a suggestion/advice, you don't have to do what they suggest, just move on.
There are many more but here's just 10 examples that drive me crazy I'm certainly not an expert but these are just things that irk me. What do you see parents/people do with/for or around children that irk you?
Edit: for those who are stuck on #10.....besides the fact that I stated "if you don't like the advice and move on" that everyone seems to be overlooking when trying to be snarky, I never said this was an advice post in the first place, these are just things that irk me!
I certainly understand that and maybe should have worded that different, all I was saying I don't like when kids aren't dressed appropriately for the weather. I did not mean any disrespect for larger women, I come from a "well fed" family so I know, my sister is heavier and she is always cold so I apologize I worded that wrong.
Quoting AmyL3469:I agree except number 5. I am a "heavy person." I also have a thyroid disorder. I'm cold a lot, padding does not always mean warmth. Geez.
Good for you! It's funny because I think these things are obvious things you don't do but I'm getting so many people calling me names! But than again these may be the people I've observed that annoyed me! Lol
Quoting TeamTARDIS:
I have to agree. I have about reached my wits end with bratty children and their incompetent parents. Parent your children, teach then respect and punish them when they are out if order.
I took my son to a post group a few weeks ago. There was a sectioned off portion for non walkers and many infants and under one babies were laying on blankets playing.
This boy around three kept stomping into the section and his stupid mom kept smiling and saying 'Aww he just loves babies.' Yeah bull you idiot, he ended up stomping on a little three month old girls back and pulled my sons hair. She still didn't grab him so I grabbed him by the arm and pulled him out of the baby section, bend and looked into his gave and told him that pulling hair and stomping on people is naughty. Of course the kid cried and finally the mom got off her butt, all insulted that I had hurt her child's feeling. I just looked at her and said that he would live.
Parent your child or someone will do it for you!
I'm not bothering anyone else, these things annoy me, I'm not giving opinions here or stalking anyone, you certainly did not have to read this post that way you could leave me alone! Lol

You annoy me. Should I make a post?

Well you could if you want but you would be hypocritical because you are the one to say leave people alone! Lol Seriously I never made this post as advice, just things that annoy me and I'm really nobody so who really cares what I think, I certainly didn't mean to piss people off, I didn't think I was that important, Kwim? Thanks for your opinion though!

fair enough response. my dad had the same rules for me, and i never ever snuck out to smoke. didnt have to. and if i were out with friends and someone had smoke with them, i ALWAYS called my dad to let him know i was going to smoke.
I'll ONLY let my child's friends smoke at my home IF I meet their parents and feel them out, ask them questions, etc.
like i did- if she's going to smoke with friends, all i ask is that it's not in public, and she calls me first.
Quoting MicheleJM:I'm the opposite. My kids will smoke pot in my house over my dead body. Unless they have a medical issue and there is no medical pot here anyway. I don't smoke it, haven't since college. It's illegal and I'm not going to get arrested as an accessory if God forbid someone sees him smoking. The same with sex, they aren't going to do it in my house. I understand they can sneak out if they want but I won't condone it. When they are 18 and living somewhere else they are free to smoke...but it still won't be in my house. Not until it becomes completely legal. Truly what if your daughter brings home friends and they are lighting up? And I'm not sure it will stop her from going somewhere else to smoke with her friends.
Quoting ACDC_fan:Not sorry to say I smoked pot while pregnant. Only in the final month- the pain was overwhelming and my hubby passed a joint to me one night. Everyone agreed it was OK. I did it for the pain, and only every now and then. HELPED. SO. MUCH.
I still smoke every now and then. when my child is 14, she'll be allowed to smoke IF she wants, and ONLY with her parents. if she wants to, she will no matter what. i'd rather she stays home and does it than sneak out to god knows where.
