did you mother ever take the cat to a vet? You could call the vet and ask if they have record of whether or not the cat's been spayed.

If the cat is yowling, it could mean she's in pain. She may have a UTI. My cat started yowling when she had one.

Take it to the vet. If its female there are different kinds of getting fixed sometimes they cut tubes but they'll still go in heat, sometimes they take things out. Just check it out.

Sometimes you can feel the spay scar or take it to the vet to see if they can feel it

We got the cat from a rescue center and they take all their animals to a vet two or three hours away. She just got the cat for christmas so she hasnt been able to take the cat to a vet yet

My cat yowls when the litter box needs cleaned or is getting cleaned.. When she wants in or outside.. When she wants fresh water or fresh food... When its time for me to go to bed so she can sleep on me... Or when my kids are in the kitchen

Mines talkative.. Lol... Shes also a watchdog, lol!

Check for a scar.  If you can't find one, take her to a vet.
