This morning, like always, I got up at 5 to get ready for work. First I start coffee, then feed the dogs and let them outside. I have a fenced in backyard so I usually just open the door and out they go. This morning I saw one of them take off running. There was a cat in the yard. Zeus(one dog) is fast. Max (the other dog) is not. Zeus caught the cat after chasing it back and forth a few times. I thought the cat would just jump the fence. Lucky for the cat Zeus listens to me very well. I heard the cat screech and I called Zeus away from the cat. The entire time Max was standing there watching like he was watching a tennis match.
I got the dogs inside and went outside to make sure the cat was ok. It hissed at me (stupid cat) and then jumped the fence. I hope it spreads the word to all the cats to stay out of my yard.
I wish people wouldn't let their animals roam free. It could be a bad situation this morning. What a way to start a Monday!
