Maya seems to age best. Remember, she'll spend most of her life as an adult. Think about that when you settle on a name.

Maya is the only one I like.

We had considered Amaya for one of our kids.

I named my DD5- Freya.  I love it.  We pronounce it FRAY-ah.  I named her after the Norse goddess.  She is ALL LOVE- ALL THE TIME!  She has even walked up to strangers and made their day!  I feel honored to have her in my life.

Freya meaning and name origin

Freya \f-re-ya\ as a girl's name is pronounced FREE-yah, FRAY-ah. It is of Scandinavian origin, and the meaning of Freya is "noble lady". Norse mythology: Freya was the goddess of love and fertility. Friday was named for her. Author Freya Stark.

Freya has 1 variant form: Fraya.

Baby names that sound like Freya are Farra, Fara, Fiora, Vera, Varya and Veera.

Popularity of Freya

Freya is not a popular first name for women and an equally uncommon surname or last name for all people. (1990 U.S. Census)
