If your child came out... ETA

If your child came out as gay or trans, how do you think you would react?

At what age would you take them seriously and not think they're just going through a phaze?

ETA - Do you think 10 years old is too young to know?

It would depend on the child.

I would be sad in a lot of ways but I would love my child no less.

first words out of my mouth would be "what took you so long?" ill accept them either way, doesnt matter to me. however, they get to explain it to their siblings because well, i cant keep a poker face with things like that.

Came out? lol.

This is a hard question. During their childhood it would probably be hard for me to accept, but as time goes on I would.

I would accept him/her no matter what. Makes absolutely no difference to me who my children choose to sleep with.

I would love them no matter. I do not love my child based on who he chooses to love, I love him based on the fact that he is my child.

They would have to be fairly young for me to not take them seriously.

I am pro equality and pro gay rights.

It doesn't matter to me who my kids are as long as they aren't hurting themselves or other people. I wouldn't love a gay child any more or less than a straight child.

I would be upset/disappointed but still love them.

14-15 probably

I think 10 is a little young.

No reaction at all. I would not care if my son or daughter was gay or straight. As long as they were happy......I would be happy

10 is about the age when they start to realize their sexuality.
