Dh says that the bubble guppies are orphans and that Ruby acts more like a mom than a sister to Max.
I think that's funny, but really though, none of them have parents? Why?

Why would the Bubble Guppies be orphans?  They are at school with their teacher.

I thought that too, but he takes them everywhere, even the dentist, he even got gill a puppy.

 i've noticed that too. and why is dora and diego off on these journeys unsupervised?

I think with Dora it's just her playing make-believe. I'm not sure about Diego.
