I don't get why people think this is weird. I am a sahm so I obviously don't have an income. I get an allowance every month so I don't have to ask for money to get things I want, go to lunch, buy clothes, etc..

It's the opposite for me. I do the bills, spend what I want, and give my husband an allowance. Lol

It's odd to me but I don't think it's something bad or crazy....

I couldn't live like that but if it works for your family It's all good.

We do something similar, it's called a budget- not an allowance to those of us out of high school.
