embarrassing health: bad breath and chronic sinusitis & chronic tonsilitis

So, I have bad breath, it does effect my social life.  I have chronic sinus infections and chronic tonsilitis.

I've tried:

-Nasal steroids

-oral steroids

-oral antibacterials

-penicillan/amoxacillan

-anti muscous meds

-saline mouth rinses

-neti pots

-saline syringes

-antibacterial mouth washes (alcohol free and with alcohol)

-cool mist humidifiers with a variety of oils/additived ect.

I'm at my wits end.  I'm at the point where I am ready to ask for surgery to have my tonsils removed and my sinuses opened.

Any suggestions for other treatments?

Am I nuts for wanting surgery at this point?

No more infections after? Did it hurt very much?

Very rarely do I get an infection, and I was on chronic abx therapy for cryptic tonsils.
I took the Percocet every 4 hours and felt fine until line the fifth day when my ears started to hurt bad, but after that it was fine. Just have to take a stool softener because the Percocet will block you up quick and that was the worst pain ever.

Had my tonsils removed....and had sinus surgery in 2004. Consult an ear, nose, and throat specialist

My family doctor said at this point she's stumped and I can elect to have my tonsils out.  I asked for a referral for the nose/throat dr.  Just waiting for the call back.

I wouldn't know about Advil because I took that Percocet like it was candy to ensure I wouldn't feel any pain.
The part at the end when your ears hurt is the absolute worst pain, I was squeezing my head with a pillow to block the aching.
But I think it was only like a day or two then it subsided. You get this white film down your throat, looks like candle wax, right about then is when the ear pain starts
