Do you let your pets sleep in your bed??

Posted by   + Show Post
I have 3 dogs- a chihuahua, a weiner dog, and a golden retriever... The 2 little dogs sleep in my bed and they're bed hogs I swear... The chihuahua is at my feet and the wiener dog has to sleep between Dh and I...
The golden retriever is pretty much my daughters dog and he sleeps in her bed.. We actually had to buy her a full size bed because he is so big he would push her out of bed at night... He has to have a pillow and be covered up or he won't settle down and go to sleep.....

just one of those things that popped in my head.  when I think gross, i think bed bugs.

btw OP Im not anti pet.  I have four furballs.  I just think them being on my bed is gross.

Quoting Anonymous:

Not saying i don't agree with you, but bed bugs don't hitch rides on the family pets.

If they did, then they'd probably be on you too.

i think thats gross.

but I wont get in my bed unless I've showered and put on clean clothes.

what if they get fleas?  or bring in bed bugs.  or track in something nasty on their paws?

I ask not for a lighter burden, but for broader shoulders.

I currently have no foot space and about 5inches of a Cali king mattress left to sleep on. So yes pets are in our bed , ugh lol.

We have three cats (they sleep downstairs on the couch), a golden retriever (who sleeps at the foot of our bed UNTIL our three year old comes to bed.. Than she goes and lays in her bed, lol), and a German shepherd. I can't wait for her to cuddle in bed. She's just too little. (Plus funny story: I let her sleep in bed with us the first week we got her. Dh swears she bit his dinger. I think she stepped on him while he was sleeping.. But who knows) haha

I have 2 miniature wieners and they both have to sleep between DH and I - after about 10 leaps down to pick the perfect rawhide each night.

My scottie-poo sleeps pretty soundly at the foot of the bed, but he has gas something fierce!

Yes. Our dog sleeps with us every night, and our two cats come and go as they please. Lily sleeps with me pretty much every night, but khloe only sometimes.

No dogs on the furniture in our house.

If I'm by myself, yes.

I don't allow the dogs in my bed.  When I first brought home my 2 yo lab she was such a whiner.  Would NOT sleep and sat and cried no matter what I did to replicate her siblings in order for her to sleep.  Our older lab wasn't used to her yet and wouldn't let her sleep with him so I let her into bed with me for the sake of sleep.  She was there probably the first 2 months?  They are not allowed on any furniture, either, except this one older couch we have in our homeschool room

Yes! Our cats cuddle with me for awhile and then go off to cuddle with the kids. Mogwai gets on his pillow next to Nathan's(6) pillow and George will snuggle himself right up next to David(5) and lay his head on the pillow with him. I can't imagine not letting them in the beds. They howl for hours if my kids are away for too long. It's cute.

Nope.  Not for lack of wanting them to, I actually do, but we have a Boxador and 3 kittens.  All of us wouldn't fit on our bed even though it's a king.  My husband is a bed hog.
