Do you know anyone who "disappeared"?

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

I've been watching cold case files, disappeared, basically any crime show. I'm wondering how often people go missing and are actually never found, or are actually found alive after years.

Bump and share your story if you have one

where is this? sorry to hear about your daughter!

Quoting Anonymous:

My daughter. She was 23 when she left work one night, at 10pm, and never came home. Her car, phone, purse and clothes were found in her car. That was 4 years ago. She is presumed dead. The fact that her clothes (work clothes, bra and underwear) were all left neatly folded in her car, on the seat, does not bode well. She would never have left on her own. She had 2 daughter who were 3 and 1 who she would have never left and she and her husband of 5 years were doing well. They believe that someone who she knew or would have trusted approached her and took her. Three other women, same general ages (22-25), all moms with young children under the age of 5, all with dark hair and dark eyes, all around the same height and build, have also gone missing in the last 4 years (3 since her, never in the same month but all in different years). Most likely it is a serial psychopath.

A friend from my high school days disappeared a little over a year ago and has not been found. His family has been looking everywhere they can for him. His name is David Hayes. He is really tall, blonde hair, and thin like gangly thin, and he is white. He lived in Las Vegas, NV and was supposed to visit Alaska, but no one has heard from him in over a year and the cops won't do anything about it :( they won't even file a missing person report

I grew up with a kid named Joe Pichler. He was in a few movies so he was pretty known in town. After we graduated, in 2005, he was last seen at a local bowling alley that had some casino games. They found his car abandoned in a parking lot. The police here think he killed himself, his family of course is praying for any kind of closure but the police aren't really looking into it anymore around here. Most people I know believe someone hurt him for one reason or another, there are a lot of stories.

A girl who lived right down the road from me when I was younger, took off for a jog one evening and never returned. They suspected her instructor, he even had odd mud on his truck and a crap alibi... but no arrest could be made, it made national headlines in 1998. She was 16 and has never been found. Since then there have been strings of missing persons in that area, 4 within a month, and none of them have been found. It's too difficult to find any bodies there, so searches often run cold.

My brother knew a girl that went missing, but was found murdered 4 months later. It was horrible, and he was very distraught. She met a guy at a party and left with him, but not to do anything, she gave him a ride home cause he said he was stranded. She rejected his advances and he murdered her, cut her to pieces and buried her in his acerage. A hunter happened on the grave 4 months later. Everyone knew he did it, he called a group of people I was friends with and drunkenly bragged about it.

Finally, I knew a girl from Kindergarten on that always seemed a little off. She stabbed her ex boyfriend over 60 times in the garage of the assisted care home she worked at, and had 3 of her friends help her, they got caught because they wrecked the car on the way to disposing the body and it flew into the road. They were all arrested and as soon as she was charged guilty 1 1/2 years later she hung herself in jail.

I watch all those crime shows too...Craziness in this world...all such sad stories :(
