What a waste of money!

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
I normally don't make posts like this but I need to vent.
A girl I know (who is on welfare) went to her OB and asked for the Mirena and he prescribed it. She is now posting pictures on FB of her playing with the damn thing along with captions "playing with what is SUPPOSED to be my birth control, but oh well. I'll just say I lost it and have a new one prescribed".
All I can think is "those things are expensive and welfare covers them 100%. Why waste that money? Idiot".

Quoting momof2891:

Well then I guess MS and IL are the only two damn states that won't cover it.

Quoting dfournier0922:

It covered mine.

Quoting momof2891:

Wow! Medicaid here in the US won't cover it. It'll cover all other ones including Implanon but not Mirena.

That's strange. I never saw or touched mine. The doctor was the only one to handle it. Are you sure she doesn't have a sample one and she's just being funny?

FYI, medicaid won't cover another one. She'll have to pay out of pocket.

***INSTALLED**** LOL I'm rolling on the floor laughing. That was good...installed. LOL

Quoting -42-:

Something's not right.

I've had two of those installed and never was it in my possession. It went straight to the doctor's office.

Eh, that's exactly how it feels.

You're up on the rack and the doc is messing with your undercarriage.

Oh I'm sorry, didn't know that.  I'm in OK and they cover it here.

Quoting momof2891:

Not in MS it won't. I tried getting after ds #1 and it wasn't covered.

The state of MS Medicaid won't cover it. There it isn't up to the provider. Here in IL I don't know. It have just been my provider. I love the Implanon. I have concerns about using IUDs. I have really bad periods and have ovarian cysts so for me, Mirena wasn't recommended.
