Spouse. You have to have a strong relationship with your spouse and that will carry on to your kids.

If you're talking about on an everyday basis then like lizzyluvsmoe said :if the spouses/caregivers are happy, then everyone is happy.

If you are talking about in an emergency life or death situation: child first because they are the ones who would need more help in that scenario. An adult is more likely able to take care of themsevles and withstand any trauma better than a child.

My husband comes first, children second. Doesn't mean that they don't get what they need and deserve. I just plan on having a marriage still when they are out of the house.

child. He is dependent on me. DH will survive if i dont cook his food or dress him or whatever.
