So Dh and I are done . We don't want more babies.. I react  to hormones so I don't want hormonal bc.  So I plan to get a copper iud( para guard) .

I was told its extremely unlikely I'd get preg on it even without condoms.. But it scares me to not use a condom still.. So I'm curious anyone ever get preg with an iud?

I'm like you, I can't deal with hormonal bc, so I have Paragard, I LOVE it. I have no side effects at all. Before I got it I had heavy bleeding for about 7 days plus two extra light days and really bad cramps, now I have no cramps and my period is very heavy but only 3 days long :) I haven't gotten pregnant which is good because I get pregnant very easy, we never use condoms.

I had the implonon (sp?) And was pregnant free for 3 years and no bleeding after baby #3 (planed of course) i getting it replaced

same here only difference I got mirena and have had it 4yrs no condoms and no surprises plus I haven't gotten my period in 4yrs

I've had mine for just over 8 years. No preggers. I got pregnant with my daughter while on the pill (didn't miss any, no antibiotics, just one of the lucky ones heh) so I wanted something that would work. Had planned to have tubes tied, but had to have emergency c section and it wasn't an option at the time because she was 3 months early. This has worked beautifully for me and we don't use anything else.
