I've recently encountered some...I guess you can say...criticism because I am with someone in a wheelchair who is paralyzed.

I'm actually surprised by the number of people who have said to me "Why when you have so many other options..." Or "You are going to deal with struggles forever" etc...etc.

I'm far from perfect...I have issues...although none that are physical that would make his life more difficult and I just simply have a connection with him...so the wheelchair is a non issue.

So would you be with someone who was paralyzed from the waist down?

If my df were to be paralyzed, absolutely. He's been by my side through all my health issues, I can't imagine not being there for him

If he was already paralyzed when you met him would you have still proceeded with him?

I don't see why not. I'd certainly stay if something happened to my husband and he had to be in a wheelchair.

If my  husband was in a wheelchair when I met him, I'd probably still would have been with him. Hes a wonderful dude.

I dated a guy in high school that was in a wheel chair, it doesn't bother me. I love who people are, not what they look like, gender, or if they're paralyzed from the waist down.
